South Africa Cricket Player Makhaya Ntini.

Born on July 7, 1977 in a small lesser known village in South Africa, he has come up well; when he was chosen to play for South Africa in the First Test against Sri Lanka at Cape Town in 1998, he was the first black player to play for his national team. Angelina Jolie's lack of affection for daughter Shiloh reportedly "tore Brad Pitt's heart out".
The couple's friends are said to be concerned that Angelina neglects Shiloh and favours her adopted children - five-year-old Cambodian son Maddox, three-year-old Vietnamese son Pax and two-year-old Ethiopian daughter Zahara.
A source told Life and Style Weekly magazine: "Angie never rocks Shiloh to sleep or feeds her, and Brad's the one who gets up in the middle of the night with her."

I think any parent who doesn't share equal affection amongst their children is causing a very big problem that may lead to disunity in that family and especially amongst the children. Shiloh didn't ask to be born...Angie and Brad brought her into this world so it's their responsibility to take care of her.

It has also been claimed Pitt was left "stunned" when Jolie refused to hold her daughter just days after her recent return from Vietnam with newly adopted son Pax, telling him "she's fine with you".
If she continues to ignore her child and treat the others better ,there could be hatred between Shiloh and the other kids. Ignoring her child will make her child feel like an orphan..thereby making Shiloh feel exactly the way these adopted kids felt b4 they were adopted.

The source added: "That practically tore Brad's heart out. Angie doesn't change Shiloh's diapers or hold her when she cries. One time Shiloh was having a tantrum and Angie just told Brad to quiet her down because she was upsetting the other kids."

Rumour has it that Angelina Jolie's father, Jon Voight, owed her mother $180,000 in child support when she died.

The actress' mother Marcheline Bertrand died of ovarian cancer in January this year and details of her will - revealing the outstanding spousal support payments - were revealed after it was filed at Los Angeles Superior Court on April 10.

A source close to Voight said: "Jon paid spousal support to Marcheline years ago and was very generous to her. Where that dollar amount came from I have no idea."

Cho Seung-Hui posing with his guns went to the post ofice and recorded a video of him ranting against rich kids and debauchery.

The package received by NBC News on Wednesday carried a postmark showing Cho mailed his rambling manifesto after he killed his first two victims on Monday morning but before he went on to cut down 30 more people in classrooms. What still baffles me is that :why didn't the school authorities call in the large number of policemen (they called in later) after the first shooting?

The images and long monologue suffused with paranoia and feelings of persecution painted a different picture of Cho, a 23-year-old student who has been described by teachers and other students as silent and withdrawn.
In the video and an 1,800-word document, Cho railed against wealth and debauchery, portrayed himself as a defender of the weak and voiced admiration for the 1999 Columbine High School massacre.
"You have vandalised my heart, raped my soul and tortured my conscience," said Cho, speaking directly to the camera and occasionally looking down to read his message.
"You thought it was a pathetic boy's life you were extinguishing. Thanks to you I die like Jesus Christ, to inspire generations of the weak and the defenceless people."

The killer has now bn identified as Cho Seung-hui a 23 year old South Korean English Major student has been identified as the gunman!

Reports claim the killer initially gunned down his girlfriend after she dumped him. He then shot dead a man thought to be a student counsellor.

More details have emerged.

In a letter found in his dormitory he criticises what he calls the rich kids on campus and goes on to say "you caused me to do this".
It also complained about "debauchery and "deceitful charlatans".
One of his teachers has said his creative writing was so disturbing he was referred to the university's counselling service.
The South Korean was studying English at the college and lived on campus.
He has been described as a loner, while one writing teacher labelled his work as "troubled".
Aged 23, he had been resident in the US since 1992 and was a graduate of Westfield High School in Fairfax County.
Police say he was armed with two handguns, one a 9mm pistol which was used in both sets of killings.
They have also revealed Cho was carrying a backpack which contained receipts for a Glock 9mm pistol bought last month for $571.
John Markell, who owned the shop where the gun was bought, said: "It was a very unremarkable sale. He was a nice, clean-cut college kid."
No motive has been given for the killings, although Cho is said to have had a row in a dormitory with his girlfriend. He apparently believed she was seeing another man.

Those deaths came at about 7.15am (local time) at West Ambler Johnston, a co-educational hall of residence that houses 895 people.

At 9.45am, more shooting was reported in Norris Hall, an engineering building.

The killer reportedly walked into classrooms and systematically opened fire on teachers and students.

Although they said earlier there appeared to be only one gunman, police declined to confirm the two incidents were linked and said there was a male "person of interest" connected with the initial dormitory shooting of a male and female student. That person was not in custody.

The first shooting was reported to campus police at about 7:15 a.m. (1115 GMT) in West Ambler Johnston Hall, a dormitory housing some 900 students. It was followed two hours later by more gunfire a half-mile (0.8 km) away at Norris Hall, site of the science and engineering school.

Police said he appeared to have used chains to lock the doors and prevent terrified victims from escaping the building. Fifteen people were wounded, including those shot and students hurt jumping from windows in a desperate attempt to flee the gunfire.

"There were multiple gunshot wounds in all the victims, even the least injured had multiple gunshot wounds, this guy was just, he was out to kill everyone he came in contact with, not just to shoot the gun, he was out to kill them," said Dr. Joseph Cacioppo, the physician who is currently treating the wounded victims.

Many students expressed anger that they were not warned of any danger until more than two hours after the first attack at a dormitory, and then only in an e-mail from the university.

A student escaped death by pretending she was dead...Thank God for fast thinking.( Survival instinct).Student Derek O'Dell, who was shot in the arm, said: "I hid under the desk and he proceeded to shoot everybody else in the class, practically."

"We knew that there was a shooting but we thought it was confined to a particular setting," university president Charles Steger told reporters, explaining the lack of more urgent measures such as evacuating the sprawling grounds or shutting down the whole campus, which has more than 25,000 students. They should have warned the students and cancelled classes but they didnt cause 'they' (the authorities) are used to hiding negative information from people. They tell u "it's ok..everything is in control", even when ur house is burning or ur dying. Always lying to themselves.

Witnesses said the killer was a black-clad Asian male, about 6 feet (1.8 metres) tall, who went wordlessly from room to room calmly shooting students and staff with at least one handgun.

Authorities haven't released the names of the victims, but Israeli media reported that one of the dead was Liviu Librescu, an Israeli citizen and professor of engineering at the university.

Librescu's son told Israeli Army radio that his father tried to block his classroom door against the gunman and urged his students to flee.
College police chief Wendell Flinchum said authorities believed the first shooting was an isolated incident and there was therefore no need to close the campus.

Schools should be places of safety and learning. Schools should be sanctuaries. Students feel a lot safer when they are in school than outside but when that sanctuary is violated the impact is felt in every classroom and every community.

Some 28 students were admitted to hospital after the shootings but all are in a stable condition.
Cho murdered two people in a dormitory before killing 30 more in four classrooms and a stairwell two hours later.
He then shot himself in the head. His body was found among some of his victims.

More than 30,000 people die from gunshot wounds in the United States every year and there are more guns in private hands than in any other country. But a powerful gun lobby and support for gun ownership rights has largely thwarted attempts to tighten controls.

Advocates of gun ownership rights saw Monday's massacre as evidence of the need to relax gun laws rather than tighten them.

The brain, not the heart is responsible for high blood pressure, according to details of a study by British researchers released Sunday.

The scientists said that hypertension, which can lead to heart attacks, strokes and kidney damage, is an inflammatory vascular disease of the brain rather than the heart, as previously thought.

They discovered that a protein located in the brain, JAM-1, trapped white blood cells, which can then cause inflammation and obstruct blood flow, leading to poor oxygen supply to the brain.

Professor Julian Paton, from Bristol University, western England, said the findings could lead to new ways of treating the condition.
"We are looking at the possibility of treating those patients that fail to respond to conventional therapy for hypertension with drugs that reduce blood vessel inflammation and increase blood flow within the brain," he added.
"The future challenge will be to understand the type of inflammation within the vessels in the brain, so we know what drug to use and how to target them.
"JAM-1 could provide us with new clues as how to deal with this disease."
Conventional treatment for reducing high blood pressure includes eating low fat food, reducing salt intake and regular exercise.

The associate medical director of the British Heart Foundation, Professor Jeremy Pearson, said: "This exciting study is important because it suggests there are unexpected causes of high blood pressure related to blood supply to the brain.

"It therefore opens up the possibility of new ways to treat this common, but often poorly managed condition."

About one in three people in Britain and more than 600 million people worldwide are thought to suffer from hypertension.

The findings are to be published in the next edition of medical journal Hypertension.

Sombrero at 28,000,000 light years away! Now a light year is about 6 billion miles so what is 28 million times 6 billion? No wonder NASA and the Space Lab were so thrilled to receive these pictures from the Hubble telescope.

They are amazing.

The Sombrero Galaxy - 28 million light years from Earth -was voted best picture taken by the Hubble telescope. The dimensions of the galaxy, officially called M104, are as spectacular as its appearance.It has 800 billion suns and is 50,000 light years across.

The Ant Nebula, a cloud of dust and gas whose technical name is Mz3, resembles an ant when observed using ground-based telescopes. The nebula lies within our galaxy between 3,000 and 6,000 light years from Earth.

In third place is Nebula NGC 2392, called Eskimo becauseit looks like a face surrounded by a furry hood. The hood is, in fact, a ring of comet-shaped objects flying away from a dying star.Eskimo is 5,000 light years from Earth.

At four is the Cat's Eye Nebula

The Hourglass Nebula, 8,000 light years away, has a pinched-in-the-middle look because the winds that shape it are weaker at the centre.

In sixth place is the Cone Nebula. The part pictured here is 2.5 light years in length(the equivalent of 23 million return trips to the Moon).

The Perfect Storm, a small region in the Swan Nebula,5,500 light years away, described as 'a bubbly ocean of hydrogen and small amounts of oxygen, sulphur and other elements'.

Starry Night, so named because it reminded astronomers of the Van Gogh painting. It is a halo of light around a star in the Milky Way.

The glowering eyes from 114 million light years away are the swirling cores of two merging galaxies calledNGC 2207 and IC 2163 in the distant Canis Major constellation.

The Trifid Nebula. A 'stellar nursery', 9,000 light years from here, it is where new stars are being born.

33 people killed in a US. College shooting!

BLACKSBURG, Virginia - Thirty-three people were killed and 15 others were wounded at Virginia Tech university on Monday in the deadliest campus shooting rampage in U.S. history.

The dead included one suspected gunman, the university president, Charles Steger, told reporters.

The rampage took place in two separate areas, first at a dormitory as students had begun criss-crossing the sprawling campus for morning classes, and then about two hours later at an engineering and science hall a half-mile (0.8 km) away.

The attacks sparked panic and chaos.

The 15 wounded included people shot and those hurt jumping from windows to escape the gunfire, Virginia Tech campus police chief Wendell Flinchum said.

Flinchum said the suspected gunman killed himself during the rampage.
"All I can tell you is that he's a male," Flinchum said, giving no details of his age or nationality. He also did not say how well-armed the suspected gunman was.
"We have not confirmed the identity of the gunman because he carried no identification on his person and we are in the process of attempting that identification," Steger said.

Students told CNN there were multiple bomb threats to the campus in the last few weeks. Two of the threats were aimed at the university's science and engineering school.

A U.S. Department of Homeland Security spokesman said there was no indication of terrorism but that it would be part of the investigation.
"Today our nation grieves with those who have lost loved ones at Virginia Tech," President George W. Bush said.

A student journalist's video of the chaos at Virginia Tech, a state university, was replayed repeatedly on U.S. television networks.
It showed people scurrying around the campus and more than two dozen shots ringing out.

The death toll was worse than a massacre at the University of Texas in Austin on August 1, 1966, when Charles Whitman, a 25-year-old student, killed 13 people and wounded 31 in a 90-minute spree. Whitman had killed his mother and wife the night before.


TWO HOURS BETWEEN ATTACKS
The first shooting at Virginia Tech was reported to campus police at about 7:15 a.m. (12:15 p.m. British time) in West Ambler Johnston Hall, a dormitory housing some 900 students.

It was followed by more shooting at Norris Hall, site of the science and engineering school that has given the university much of its fame as a leading technical institute in the United States.

During the two hours after the first shooting some students had ventured out again. University police were investigating the first shooting at the dormitory when they got word of gunfire at the classroom building.

Student Justin Merrifield told Reuters he was outside West Ambler dormitory at 9 a.m. when he saw police and a crying student but did not realize the magnitude of the crisis until he arrived at his 10 a.m. class.
Merrifield said students were alerted by campus loudspeakers.
"There was a voice that just kept repeating, 'Gunman on campus, stay indoors, get away from windows,' over and over, basically," said Merrifield.

Steger, facing a barrage of questions over the university's initial response, stressed that its efforts to alert students could not possibly reach the thousands of people moving around the campus at the start of the school day.
"We had no reason to suspect any other incident was going to occur," Steger said of the first shooting.

One student criticized how university officials reacted.
"I'm pretty outraged that someone died in a shooting in a dorm at 7 O'clock in the morning and the first e-mail about it had no mention of locking down the campus, no mention of cancelling classes," Jason Piatt told CNN.
"They just mentioned that they were investigating a shooting," he said. "That's pretty ridiculous. Meanwhile, while they sent out that e-mail, 21 people got killed."

The shooting was bound to revive debate in the United States about gun violence.

"We live in a society where guns are pretty well accepted," said Jim Sollo, of Virginians Against Handgun Violence. "There are 200 million guns in this society and obviously some in the wrong hands."

Virginia Tech, with 26,000 students and some 100 buildings on 2,600 acres (1,050 hectares), is located in the town of Blacksburg and set in lush rolling hills in the southwest corner of the state, about 240 miles (390 km) from Washington.

Classes were cancelled for Monday and Tuesday and counsellors were being brought in to talk to the students.

The result in Imo State result was cancelled due to irregularities.

The courts have ordered INEC to include Vice President Atiku Abubakar's name on the list of Presidential Candidates so he is still running for the presidential seat.
