British teacher, Gillian Gibbons has been pardoned by the Sudanese president. (1 hour ago)
She has been held for eight days and i am sure she will be very relieved to regain her freedom.
Her release was made possible by two British peers, Baroness and Lord Ahmed. These two muslims who represented British muslims managed to secure Mrs Gillian's release on their own. They talked to the Sudanese president, muslim to muslim and succeded this morning.
Gillian says she is sad to be leaving Sudan and thanks the authority for treating her well.
She has now been released (9:50am, Nigerian time) and will be on her way back to Britain in a short while from now.
