A grieving mother told a South Carolina court she was slapped with several bills, including one to clean the street after her son was killed by a drunken driver last year.

Loretta Robinson spoke on June 19 of the emotional and financial toll her son Justin Walker's death had on her as the driver Anna Gonzales, who is an illegal immigrant, pleaded guilty in the case.
Robinson told the judge she has been unable to work due to the emotional impact of her son's death, and can't pay the bills she keeps receiving from the accident even though her son was not at fault, WYFF reports.

A woman who made a sex tape with her teenage son after they were reunited after 15 years apart claims their relationship was not incest - but a case of 'genetic attraction'.
Mistie Rebecca Atkinson, 32, was sentenced to four years and eight months behind bars in Napa County Superior Court, California on Wednesday.
It came after she was found in a Ukiah, California motel room with the 16-year-old boy, who had recorded his mother giving him oral sex on his phone.
Atkinson had tracked down her son through Facebook after 15 years apart.

In a hand-written letter to the court, Atkinson pleaded for leniency, saying she never intended to become intimate with her biological son.

“I don’t feel like I should have the charge of incest because there is something called genetic attraction that is a very powerful (phenomenon) that happens to 50 (percent) of people becoming reunited with a long-lost relative,” she wrote in her letter to the judge.

Authorities also recovered nude photos Atkinson had sent him.

Seven-year-old Charlotte Neve suffered a rare type of brain hemorrhage in mid-April, and slipped into a coma after two operations were performed to stop the bleeding. Doctors told her mother, Leila, that her daughter's chances didn't look good.

Charlotte remained in the coma for a week when, one day, her mother came to visit and heard Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" (I soooooooo love that song) playing on the radio. As this was a song she and Charlotte both enjoyed, Leila began singing along.

Authorities say the Texas father who beat to death the man who tried molesting his 4-year-old daughter will not be charged.
Officials said the grand jury met yesterday and declined to return an indictment against the father in the death of 47-year-old Jesus Mora Flores. Good news.

The beating death of a Texas man who was allegedly sexually assaulting a 5-year-girl will be treated as a homicide investigation, the Lavaca County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.For those who dont know the story click here

"At this time, I believe the homicide investigation should be sent to the grand jury," Heather

McMinn, the Lavaca County District Attorney, said in the statement. She went on to say the sheriff was correct not to arrest the father at the time of the incident, but "all evidence surrounding this homicide will be presented to the grand jury as soon as possible."

Sheriff Micah Harmon, according to the statement, believes the girl’s father is remorseful, and did not intend to kill Flores. He called the case "traumatizing" for the girl and her entire family.

"He was just protecting his daughter and doing what he thought he had to do to protect his daughter," Harmon said.

Teen with sleeping beauty syndrome wakes up after two months

A British teen suffering from a rare neurological disorder that induces long periods of sleep recently awoke after sleeping for two months.
"I've missed nine exams 15-year-old Stacey Comerford tells reporters. She fell asleep in April and only just woke up last week.
She sleep-walks to use the bathroom and eat but is never aware of doing anything because she does all these while she is asleep.

Comerford suffers from Kleine Levin Syndrome (KLS), also known as Sleeping Beauty Syndrome, a condition affecting only about 1,000 people around the world. This disease usually disappears when one becomes a full adult.

"There's never any warning. I've even found her fast asleep on the kitchen floor," Comerford's mother, Bernie Richards, tells the Sun. "When she's in an episode, she might get up to go to the toilet or get a drink but she's not awake. I call it sleep mode."

Audio recordings from phone calls George Zimmerman made while in jail in April were released today by Florida special prosecutor Angela Corey.

The six phone calls are part of the state's evidence alleging that Zimmerman and his wife, Shellie, misled the court during an April bond hearing.
Zimmerman is heard coaching his wife and sister on how to move tens of thousands of dollars donated to his legal defense fund.
During one jailhouse conversation, George Zimmerman tells his wife how much it means to him that strangers were donating to his PayPal account. "Ah man, that feels good," he said.

After his wife was able to start transferring funds, Zimmerman instructs her to pay off nearly all the couple's bills and to purchase bulletproof vests for her, him and his attorney

According to AP: Police say a man in Jaipur, India got upset over his daughter's lifestyle, chopped her head off with a sword and then paraded it through his village before surrendering to authorities in western India.

Marble miner Ogad Singh's 20-year-old daughter had been living with her parents in the Rajasthani village of Dungarji after leaving her husband two years ago.

Police Superintendent Umesh Ojha says Singh was upset by his daughter having affairs with men, and became enraged when she eloped with one of them two weeks ago.

Ojha says Singh forced her to return home yesterday, and beheaded her today with a sword.

Rapidly modernizing India faces increasing social clashes as youths resist traditions like arranged marriage or limits on women venturing outside their parents' or husbands' homes.

Rodney King found dead

Rodney King, whose beating by Los Angeles police in 1991 was caught on camera and sparked riots after the acquittal of the four officers involved, was found dead in the swimming pool of his California home today. Rodney King He was 47. Police said King's fiancée discovered him at the bottom of the swimming pool at their Rialto, Calif., home, about 55 miles east of Los Angeles.

Police responded to a call at 5:25 a.m., pulled King out of the pool and attempted CPR, but could not revive him.

Texas Dad beats his 4 year old daughter's molester to death

During a social gathering last Saturday, a 4 year old girl went inside the family’s home in Shiner Texas while other members of the family were tending to horses outside. A neighbour then saw a 47-year old man (with whom the father was casually acquainted) carrying the little girl away, so he quickly alerted the girl's Father.

The 22 year old Dad started to yell out his daughter's name who in turn responded by screaming. The Dad ran to his daughter and caught the 47 year old man with his pants around his ankles about to molest his daughter, he got enraged and beat him to death.

Cops were called, but the Dad wasn't arrested because he was ONLY protecting his daughter. They said he was remorseful though when he found out the molester had died. He said he didn't mean to kill him. He only wanted to get the molester off his daughter but I guess emotion took over and he went overboard. I don't blame him though. I'd do the same thing if I was in the same position.

The sheriff’s office will defer to a grand jury to decide whether murder charges will be brought against the father or not.

Brian Baker took his daughters, Madison Grace and Victoria Faith, to Seattle to meet their mother, Misty, and their barely older twin siblings, Connor William and Hope Elizabeth.
Brian and Misty Baker battled infertility for a decade, then Misty's best friend, Amber Pluckebaum of Kokomo, Indiana offered to be a gestational surrogate for them. Fortunately, in the last round of In vitro fertilization (IVF), Misty and Amber both became pregnant with twins.

The Bakers couldn't make it to Kokomo for the delivery of their daughters by Amber, because Misty had given birth to their Seattle-born twins just 35 hours earlier.

A homeless man who found at least $70,000 in cash abandoned in a Texas park has been told he can keep the money.MyFoxAustin reports the Bastrop City Council voted unanimously to let Timothy Yost keep the bag of 70 $100 bills and 40 kruggerand coins he found in a wet plastic bag January 18 along the Colorado River, Texas.
Kruggerand coins are collector coins from South Africa, that, according to one seller's website, sell for approximately $1,600 apiece.

Police seized the money after Yost brought the loot to a local bank in hopes of exchanging some of the wet bills for dry ones. Yost and his attorney, Aleta Peacock, filed a lawsuit against the city to get the money back, which has since been dropped.

New York Trauma Surgeon wanted for killing a Nurse

A former Army Special Forces surgeon who allegedly shot his ex-girlfriend to death at a Buffalo, N.Y. hospital yesterday remains at large, despite a day-long police manhunt.

Dr. Timothy V. Jorden, 49, is wanted in connection to the death of his ex girlfriend, Jackie Wisniewski, 33, a nursing student who died yesterday morning on the floor of the Erie County Medical Center where she and Jorden both worked.

The fatal drama at the hospital began yesterday around 8 a.m., when Jorden allegedly shot and killed Wisniewski, a woman identified as his former lover, according to sources familiar with the investigation.

Chris Brown injured in a Bar fight with Drake

I heard this news on the radio on my way to work this morning and I was like what the...
Chris Brown sustained a nasty gash on his chin from a bottle attack by Drake in a NYC nightclub fight last night.

Chris Brown and Drake's entourage got into a fight at WIP nightclub which ended up with 5 injured people.

NYPD arrived on the scene after receiving a call between 4 and 5am but by then Chris and Drake were already gone. There were no critical injuries, just bumps, bruises and lacerations. No arrests were made.

While the fight was going on, Chris Brown kept tweeting about what was going on, lol.

After the fight, Brown tweeted a photo of his injury ... along with the message, "How u party wit rich n**** that hate? Lol... Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!."

The photo and messages have since been removed from Brown's Twitter page.

World's oldest sisters

Two British women in their 100s have been named the oldest sisters in the world, after one celebrated a record breaking birthdays. Marjorie Ruddle, who recently turned 105, and Dorothy Richards, 108, were awarded Guinness Book of World Records certificates at a special party to held to celebrate the landmark.

Dorrie was born on December 15, 1903, she has three sons Graham and Philip, and Martin, several grandchildren and great grandchildren
Marjorie, who was born in Northampton back in 1907, has three children, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The two girls grew up in Northampton with their sister Hilda, who died aged 40 from MS, and two brothers Bernard and Ross, who died aged just 49.

On the day of the record break, the aggregate age of the sisters was 213 years, three months, and 27 days. A spokesperson from Guinness World Records confirmed the sisters had the "highest combined age of two living siblings".

Driver kidnaps 3 children after picking them up from school

The 3 boys pictured above (Chinemerem 5, Okechukwu 4 and Nzube 2) are missing. Their driver, Godwin picked them up from their school ABC Academy Utako Abuja around 3:30pm yesterday June 7th in a new Toyota Avensis metallic colour (with no plate number) and disappeared with them. They have not been found. Anybody that has seen or heard anything about their where about should report to the nearest police station.

A farm dog in Ghana spent the night protecting an abandoned infant. Authorities say the dog was found under a bridge in Winkongo (which is near Bolgatanga, the Upper East Regional Capital of Ghana), near the farm where he lives. The dog was found with the tiny baby snuggled against him.

Governor Scott Walker wins recall election

Yesterday, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker survived the recall election. This now puts him in U.S. history as the first Governor to ever win a recall election. In 1921, North Dakota's Governor Lynn Frazier was removed due to a recall and Gov. Gray Davis of California was recalled in 2003.

Although exit polls showed a tighter race, Walker ended up with 54% of the vote to Democrat Mayor Tom Barrett’s 45%, with nearly all the precincts reporting, and he will finish out his term.

Walker, who won by a bigger margin than when he defeated Barrett in 2010, called for unity after a bitter, expensive battle.
