Ray Quinn's debut album is number one on the UK album chart!

X Factor loser Ray Quinn has taken the top slot in the UK album chart.

The 18-year-old Liverpudlian was pushed into second place in last year's competition final but entered the album charts at number one with his debut offering.
The young star celebrated the news with a live Mother's Day performance at Liverpool club, The Cavern.

He was also honoured with a listing on the famous venue's Wall of Fame alongside musical icons The Beatles, David Bowie and Elton John.
His self-titled album of swing tunes trounced that of X Factor rival Ben Mills who also released an album this week.
Ray was also presented with a Guinness World Record for being the youngest male artist to enter the UK album chart at number one without releasing a single.

Ray said: "I'm absolutely speechless. I can't believe my first album has gone to number one.
"It's weird to think that so many people have actually gone out and bought the album and have listened to it.
"Obviously I want to thank them and everyone else who has supported and helped me get here.
"And I get to find out the good news on the day I can play The Cavern. It is amazing."
Amazing how someone who lost in a competition, someone who the judges/audience didn't think was good enough to win, released an album which has become number.

Sometimes, it's not how far u go but how well.
