New Poisonous Spider in the United States.

Three women in North Florida , turned up at hospitals over a 5-day period, all with the same symptoms. Fever, chills, and vomiting, followed by muscular collapse, paralysis, and finally, death.
There were no outward signs of trauma. Autopsy results showed toxicity in the blood. These women did not know each other, and seemed to have nothing in common.
It was discovered, however, that they had all visited the same Restaurant (Olive Garden) within days of their deaths.
The US health department descended on the restaurant, shutting it down. The food, water, and air conditioning were all inspected and tested, to no avail.
The big break came when a waitress at the restaurant was rushed to the hospital with similar symptoms. She told doctors that she had been on vacation, and had only went to the restaurant to pick up her check.
She did not eat or drink while she was there, but had used the restroom.
That is when one toxicologist, remembering an article he had read, drove out to the restaurant, went into the restroom, and lifted the toilet seat. Under the seat, out of normal view, was a small spider.
The spider was captured and brought back to the lab, where it was determined to be the Two-Striped Telamonia (Telamonia dimidiata), so named because of its reddened flesh color. This spider's venom is extremely toxic, but can take several days to take effect. They live in cold, dark, damp climates, and toilet rims provide just the right atmosphere.
Several days later a lawyer from Jacksonville showed up at a hospital emergency room. Before his death, he told the doctor, that he had been away on business, had taken a flight from Indonesia , changing planes in Singapore , before returning home. He did not visit (Olive Garden),while there.
He did, as did all of the other victims, have what was determined to be a puncture wound, on his right buttock.
Investigators discovered that the flight he was on had originated in India. The Civilian Aeronautics Board (CAB) ordered an immediate inspection of the toilets of all flights from India , and discovered the Two-Striped Telamonia (Telamonia dimidiata) spider's nests on 4 different planes!
It is now believed that these spiders can be anywhere in the country.
So please, before you use a public toilet, lift the seat to check for spiders.
It can save your life!
P.S.: I doubt if we have such spiders here in Africa, but If a solution isn't found quickly, they(The Westerners) will shift the blame on Africa and say the spider originated from here.
Then change it's name to 'African poisonous spider' or black poisonous spider. Like they have done with other diseases and ailments in the past. The first person that contracted HIV/AIDS was an European but AIDS first started in Africa, i wonder what the logic in that is.
Warning: the spider wasn't first discovered here in Africa O!

i really do not want to go into the logistics of what goes on in the ladies... but regardless, those spiders can get out from wherever and creep up your legs and do what they want to do ...

As i said.. no public restrooms for me... scary....well...

If they like it, they steal it and call it theirs; if they do not, then they say we started it.

Some idiot actually believed your story was true and forwarded a link to your blog to me.

Knowing full well that Snopes.com would show that it was a hoax I emailed them back to let them know not to waste my time again.

Perhaps you should check snopes before blogging about outrageous stuff like this?

I love it how people say such horrible things about America however if they get the chance they love to visit, especially to places like New York and California. I think every nation has their problems but that should not be stowed upon every individual in that nation. I think it would be unfair for me to say that all Africans are rapists and murderers, because I am sure they aren't, however, there are certain places in Africa where this does occur. I strongly suggest you think before posting such rude comments about a nation (and people)as a whole.

@ The most recent anonymous: For ur information, i NEVER said anything rude or negative about America nor its people. I only posted a warning advising people to be careful with how they use public toilets. I only relayed a message sent to me to warn people, especially women. Ok? Tu comprend?

Don't misinterpret what i posted cos it seems u are already biased.

If u werent biased about Africans already, u would have read my post objectively before thinking that my comments were rude.

This is to anonymous 4. I guess the monkey the European slept with was your father. I am even more sure that you don't know who ur whore of a mother is.

I think it's really sad that this has gone as far as it has. What the heck is wrong with you people? Especially you Shanequa. Why in the world would you say such a rude and disgusting comment such as that? Let's remember that we are all of the human race, which means that none is better than another. We were all created in God's image. Let's start acting like it. Love one another just as God loves us. It would sure make this world a much nicer place.

The author of veraikeji.blogspot.com has written an excellent article. You have made your point and there is not much to argue about. It is like the following universal truth that you can not argue with: If it wasn't for a last minute nothing would ever get done. Thanks for the info.
